The Docent for the Congo War Resource, Bob Hill, will give a presentation on the peacemaking efforts in the DRC. What works there and what does not as judged by the human rights condition. The focus is on the conflict ridden Eastern Congo, videos of NGOs at work, and a discussion of methods. APCN members and guests are invited to join the discussion. Obtaining a Positive Peace in Nigeria
Nigeria, known as the "giant of Africa" has enormous influence on the western subregion and the continent as a whole. Overcoming the legacy of intercommunal conflict in Nigeria would thus be a giant step forward, as it could act as a stabilizing and unifying force in the continent.
