Countering Afropessism: Positive accounts from the Mother Continent

E-mail Print PDF

North Atlantic media are filled with negative depictions of Africa, thereby distorting the perceptions of many outside the continent. Yet Africa is full of beauty, creativity, and kindness. To counter pathologizing images of the continent and provide glimpses of its incredible human resources, APCN created this space detailing a few examples of the many wonderful occurrences taking place in Africa.

If you wish to suggest stories for inclusion on the page – items related to peacebuilding are particular welcome – please send them to niki.incorvia[at]africapeace[dot]org
