The International Council on Human Rights Policy provides a forum for applied research, reflection and forward thinking, grappling with the challenge of translating universal human rights principles into policy realities. Not entirely Africa focused, but does have documents and working papers on African issues and general human rights and peace issues.

Justice Africa is an advocacy organisation and research institute founded in 1999 in London to campaign for human rights and social justice across Africa. The site contains papers on topics such as Darfur, HIV/AIDS, and peacemaking, among others.

Truth Commissions have emerged as an alternative to full prosecution of offenders.
